Bend Born Cheesesteaks Since 2009
Philly Style Bend was started in Bend Oregon in 2009 by Michelle and Danny Ellis, two local public school teachers with a tasty vision. From its start, Philly Style’s mission has been straightforward: Deliver an unmistakably genuine Philly cheesesteak experience to Central Oregon’s populous.
In those first 10 years, they served cheesesteaks under a 10x10 event tent. Serving their cheesesteaks at events such as Bite of Bend and Summerfest, where Philly Style built up a fiercely loyal following in Bend. Time after time the question kept being asked: “When will you guys have a full-time shop?!!”
In the spring of 2018, that answer was served with a big ladle of Cheez Whiz!! Their food truck, a converted Portland Tri-Met bus, has a huge flat-top grill and an efficient kitchen that brings Philly Style Bend to the next level. Constantly evolving to meet their customers’ needs, we’re now offering Impossible Foods plant-based meat substitute, along with vegetarian and gluten-free options.
